Fucking Awesome (FA) is a skateboarding brand founded in 2013 by pro skaters Jason Dill and Anthony Van Engelen. The brand emerged from Dill's early DIY approach, where he would repurpose discarded materials to create graphic designs, which he then distributed to Supreme for sale. This grassroots method laid the foundation for what would become a respected skateboarding brand.
FA is known for its bold attitude, provocative aesthetics, and influential presence in both skate culture and streetwear. The brand's ethos is encapsulated in its self-description as an "ideas company," emphasizing creativity over traditional branding. FA's products often feature edgy and controversial graphics, challenging conventional norms.
The FA team boasts a roster of elite skateboarders, including Jason Dill, Anthony Van Engelen, Gino Iannucci, Kevin Bradley, Sage Elsesser, Elijah Berle, Aidan Mackey, Louie Lopez, Jake Anderson, Romel Torres, Curren Caples, and Beatrice Domond. The brand also has a sister company, Hockey, which shares a similar aesthetic and often collaborates on video projects and product releases.
Fucking Awesome skateboards (as well as Hockey skateboards) are made by BBS in Mexico and are renowned for their more square ‘shovel’ nose and tail compared to more traditional popsicle skateboards.
